UBBC reception in House of Lords 12th March 2026

UBBC held a well-attended reception in the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne. The Baroness introduced a range of parliamentary speakers including Lord Green, who spoke of the importance of Trade to improve prosperity and the opportunity Ukraine as a current and future opportunity. Dame Nia Griffiths MP, of the Ukraine appg, who had just returned from a parliamentary visit to Kyiv. She presented the various initiatives that both political parties have been instigating as regards ways and support for Ukraine, and Lord Davey, who has visited Ukraine on numerous occasions. Mr Christophe Michels, UBBC MD thanked everyone for coming and the founding members, and invited companies to join the trade visit due for June.

Member attendees included Zaha Hadid, Serco, SSB, Acrow, MSS, EAME, Molfar, Coventry university, and guests included EBRD, IFC, Asters, CMS, Clarke Willmott, PWC, UCL, DBT, BDP, Arup, Gleeds, Henry Jackson Society, Hogan Lovells, London Chamber of Commerce, IN2 Comms,Innovate UK, among others.
