UBBC members attend MP’s roundtable series on Ukraine

Several UBBC members attended a series of parliamentary roundtables this week Sept 7/8th.

MPs are due to visit Ukraine this month and our role was to inform them on business issues and discuss opportunities in Ukraine. The roundtables cover sector discussions such as Infrastructure. Investment risk, Insurance, Energy, Tax and Humanitarian and civil society.

Ashley Goodall gave an account of the Gdansk conference outtakes and implications for Ukraine, Eu accession and the low profile of the UK, and points about clarity of Ukraine Government priorities for future reconstruction and modernisation and the impact on planning and delivery.

The roundtables were well attended and open to conversation and comment.
