UBBC attends University of Oxford and Ukraine’s Stem Pro reception

The University of Oxford Science and Technology facilities council hosted 15 of the top Ukrainian stem students from the Aviation Institute in Kyiv, one of the top universities in Ukraine. The students came with entrepreneurial projects they are seeking to expand, covering innovation in robotics, cybersecurity, AI and specialists from computer sciences, systems control, software and applied mathematics among other areas.

From the Ukrainian side Yuliia Lysanet, Head of the Department of International Cooperation, Research, and Analytics, Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports, oversaw the visit.

Oxford’s entrepreneurs, spin out specialists and development professionals attended to meet and engage with the students with potential mentoring and future opportunities for collaboration.

Professor Lord Lional Tarassenko, principal of Reuben College addressed the meeting about his experience in developing successful spin out companies at Oxford, running start ups(of which he claims Reuben college is a start up ) and his background in machine learning and as professor of electrical engineering .
