The EBA or European business association in Ukraine, represent about 900 businesses from all over Europe, many of them large corporates and investors. With 80 members of staff and various sector initiatives from bids to lobbying, they represent the most formidable business organisation in Ukraine and put on events, trips and conferences.
The EBA covers sectors including industrial, agricultural, Pharma, IT, and government departments, though like UBBC is funded only by members. Following a call with Yulia Melnyk the UK’s contact, UBBC has agreed to collaborate with EBR on a number of levels, to develop reciprocity and exchange information, to share our events between members, for UBBC to inform EBA of our trade visit in June so we may arrange relevant meetings between our members, and for EBA to facilitate meetings in Kyiv as requested.
EBA can arrange for short talks on the business environment and convene the appropriate businesses sector members to meet our delegates. We agreed to run a joint webinar of future of the business economy in Ukraine.
EBA are also planning a trip to the UK with a group of CEO alumni who graduated from KSE with phd’s, and will meet with British universities and business schools, for which UBBC can support, perhaps with a reception in the House of parliament and introduction to one or two universities.
