Molfar launch in UK

Molfar the Ukrainian intelligence and communications agency launched their UK operations last night at the Travellers club. UBBC members, as outreach partners, were in attendance to hear James Westlake explain Molfar’s work and the wider defence context in Ukraine including the focus on Ukraine’s remarkable rise in the defence tech industry. Attendees included members of Ukraine and British start up and defence tech industries, advisors and businesspeople engaged in the sector.

Speakers included Michael Lukashenko of General Cherry, who have grown from a garage start up in 2023 to be Ukraine’s leading drone developer and producer with 400 staff making 300k drones pa, Eugenia Bespalova of Molfar intelligence, and Stanislav Gatshin of AEQUO , They covered subjects including  how Ukraine manages to innovate defence capabilities and how Ukraine procures drones and Mil tech ( effectively bypassing government procurement systems to work directly  in partnership with units on the battlefield with companies and investors, to gain valuable feedback on products), the adaptation of technology to other purposes and the bright future ahead for Ukrainian industry.
